Protege: The Final Battle (Highlights)




Protege Season 2's Final 6 were determined after Japs de Luna's elimination, and will face the final battle for this season. Elle Ramirez (Protege of Mentor Roderick Paulate), Thea Tolentino and Zandra Summer (Proteges of Mentor Gina Alajar), Mikoy Morales and Jeric Gonzales (Proteges of Mentor Jolina Magdangal-Escueta) and Ruru Madrid (Protege of Mentor Phillip Salvador).





The Final Battle was held in two-part episodes. The first part was held last October 14, 2012 wherein the proteges were hand picked by the judges and gave them the challenges which they thought each protege haven't done yet all throughout the season. At the end of the 1st part of the final battle, the judges were asked to name 2 proteges (1 from girls and 1 from boys) whom they thought excelled the most. For the Girls, All Judges agreed that Elle Ramirez emerged as the best. For the boys, Majority of the judges thought Jeric Gonzales excelled, and a vote for Mikoy Morales.





On the 2nd part of the final battle which was held last night, the challenge given to the proteges was to act with kapuso stars on different kapuso soap and television series. Texters Choice Award was given to Jeric Gonzales for gaining the most number of text votes. At the end of the Final Battle, 2nd Season's Proteges were named.





Yes, it's Thea Tolentino for the Girls and Jeric Gonzales both from South Luzon, both were handled by Mentor Gina Alajar and lately after the protege-mentor swapping, Jeric Gonzales was chosen to be a part of Team Mentor Jolina.

Artista Academy: Final Exam (Highlights)




Final Exams' theme was "Major Impact" meaning the students must leave a major impact through a short film that will be done to showcase their acting skills individually with the same scenario plus accompanied with 2 most respected and multi-awarded artists; with the Girls is Mr. Tirso Cruz III and for the boys with Ms. Nora Aunor.


The Girls





The Short film was about a daughter named Denise who recently found out that her dad (Mr. Tirso Cruz III) is seeing another woman. There was a confrontation between the daughter and her Daddy but in the end, Denise found out that her Mom knew her Dad's infidelity.


The Critics have seen that Major Impact to Sophie Albert as Denise. They commended how she affected her co-actor and the control on every emotions shown. As for Chanel and Shaira, they also did very well but the critics seemed to find more emotions which wasn't seen on the short film.


The Boys





The Short film was about a son named Anton who is longing for love and care from her real mother (Ms. Nora Aunor) who abandoned him out of her frustrations on her husband. But as the day went that they had the opportunity to see each other, anger had burst from his emotions to the point that he doesn't need her real mother anymore even though his mother missed him so much.


All the Critics agreed and loved Vin Abrenica's teardrops falling on the last part of the film. Akihiro Blanco was still commended for his naturalistic way of acting but lacks with the emotions seen in the film. Mark Neumann was also commended on his effort in memorizing tagalog lines as management for the language barrier, but the critics still seen it as a barrier to the film.


Text Votes ranking was also revealed last Saturday and this was the current ranking of the students as of last Saturday's final exam:

At the end of the live exam, the students who leaved a major impact based on the critics decision were:

On October 27, 2012 (Saturday), the Award's Night will be held on the Smart Araneta Coliseum wherein the first ever Best Actor and Best Actress will be named and will go home with 20 million pesos.
